Yogurt Coffee Cake Recipe

Here's a recipe that was a big hit at our house lately:
Yogurt Coffee Cake
1/4 lb. butter
1 C sugar
2 eggs
2 C flour
1 tes. baking powder
1 tes. baking soda
1 C plain yogurt
1 tes. vanilla

Topping:
1/4 C sugar
2 tes. cinnamon
1/2 C finely chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, beat well. Sift flour, baking powder and baking soda. Add dry ingredients alternately with plain yogurt to egg mixture. Add vanilla. Pour 1/2 batter into greased and floured circular coffee cake tin (I used 9X13 in. pan). Cover with 1/2 topping. Add rest of batter and cover with rest of topping. Bake 40 minutes at 350 degrees.

  1. Whenever you add yogurt or sour cream to coffee cake it seems to be a sure hit. So moist!
