Gingerbread house

Just about every year the kids make a gingerbread house. Some years we've made them with with friends. Sometimes we've made it from scratch (although I always have a hard time getting the frosting to the right consistency), other years we've bought a kit. Yesterday I saw one at Wal-mart and decided to buy it. After we got home the kids begged me to put it together, but I had done so much that day I just wanted to relax. In the morning, the first thing they wanted to do was put together the gingerbread house. So, at 8:30 am we put the kit together.

  1. looks like fun! :)

thanks for stopping by and commenting! :) My family loves the pudding pie! Tonight they were playfully arguing over who would get a 9 inch in diameter piece!(in other words who was going to eat the whole thing!) LOL

Hope you are enjoying your week! :)

  3. We bought a kid like that a couple of years ago, the kids loved it! I keep saying I want to make one from scratch (but that doesn't seem to be happening).

  5. I saw that same kit at our WalMart earlier this week!

I've never bought a kit before... or even made a gingerbread house. We've made gingerbread men, though, and my sister makes graham cracker houses with my oldest sometimes.

Thanks for linking to me about the calendar. I'm glad you are enjoying it. I thought about you guys when we made our angel yesterday!
